The Most Powerful Words I’ve Ever Read
Language shapes our lives. It does not define us, establish our value, nor reflect who and what we are in truth—for that was established at the instant of our creation, and it can never change. Through language, however, we can communicate about what is important in life. We can share wisdom and knowledge that has the capacity to heal and make the world a happier place. Yet precious little of our communication means anything. We talk a lot, but few of us rarely say anything of value; that is, anything that can add to the quality of our lives, and help us evolve as individuals and as a species.
I’d like to share with you just a few words that I have come to consider the most important, most powerful, and potentially most life changing words I have ever .
These are words that, when you come to realize through your own enlightenment that they are absolutely true, will alter the way you see the world, the people in the world, and your own life, forever. They come from A Course in Miracles, appearing at the beginning of this brilliant teaching. The words are these:
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
These words are seemingly very simple, as are many profound teachings. Just fourteen words in three sentences. Yet consider what they imply. If true, they mean that nothing in the world can ever take away from, hurt, or threaten your true Self in any way. They mean that you are invulnerable, invincible, and eternal. They mean that you are safe; now and always.
I’d like to encourage to take these words in, memorize them, and meditate on them until you realize their inestimable value. They have the power to offer you peace in every circumstance you will ever face. I have come to believe they are God’s words to you, to me, to everyone—past, present, and future. Only dreams and illusions of what we are can be threatened. Beyond the dream, you sleep until you awaken, safe and sound, under the watchful gaze of God’s own angels. Forever safe, forever loved, and forever at peace.
